Former FBI director James Comey has been relatively dormant since he was fired by the President a year ago because — as he alleges — he refused to drop the investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and his relations with Russia. That dismissal led to the appointment of a special counsel to continue looking into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible collusion between the Kremlin and the Trump Campaign. Now Comey is absolutely volcanic in his denunciations of Trump and his presidency. His tell-all memoir, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, And Leadership, hits bookstores today and it paints an ugly picture of the Administration. Comey describes Trump as unfit for the nation’s highest office and calls his tenure “not normal,” though he won’t say the President is guilty of any crimes. Social media users have mixed feelings about the book and the author himself. The handle “@Comey” gets 58 percent negative sentiments on Twitter — pretty low but not exactly universal condemnation. Social media users call Comey everything from “useful” to “pathetic,” and some say he’s a liar, while others see him as a beacon of integrity. –Hugo Guzman
