Are you a Republican who held your nose as you cast your 2016 ballot for Donald Trump? Or might you be a Democrat who chose to vote your pocketbook over common decency and morality? Could you be someone — Democrat or Republican who decided not to vote? Or are you reluctantly continuing to support the President but afraid to tell friends and family?
Or, perchance you are a conservative who enjoys reading progressive leaning publications to see ‘what the other side’ is saying.
Most importantly perhaps you’re a Democrat who voted for “crooked Hillary” hosting a Cheshire Cat grin indicating you possess the erroneous belief that the 2018 midterms are a slam dunk. Hah! Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
First, keep in mind that Donald J. Trump is a survivor. Despite all the most revered pundits’ pontifications, he not only won the 2016 Republican nomination, he has hijacked the party from its most ardent pillars of humanity like the great egalitarian & Senate Majority Leader, Senator Mitch McConnell or the compassionate friend of the needy, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.
His support has actually grown in recent months according to a May 29th article in Forbes.
Who knows, if he’s not impeached or beaten up by a bigger playground bully he may very well run again in 2020. There’s just no way to know, no-how!
As for the 2018 midterm elections eight Democrat Senate incumbents are running in deep red states.
House of Representative elections always pose a conundrum. Read below before you decide what if anything, or how involved you might want to become in the election process.
According to a July 2018 Gallup poll, only 17% of people approve of the way Congress is doing its job.
December of 2016 reflected the same 17% approval rating, yet 97% off Congressional incumbents were reelected.
It’s easy to prognosticate and say that August 21st was finally the beginning of the downfall of the Trump administration. His campaign manager Paul Manafort was indicted on eight felony counts and Daniel Cohen his personal lawyer, “fixer” and all-around good fellow pled guilty to eight felonies. He was also in Trumpian style verbiage a snitch who flipped.
He stated thathe broke campaign finance laws “in coordination and at the direction of a candidate for federal office,” which indirectly referenced the president.
My goodness, I certainly wouldn’t retain him as my lawyer.
If anyone is looking for a good lawyer, I would strongly suggest that you don’t retain the services of Michael Cohen!

This Article’s Take-Away:
There is only one sure bet between now and November. Cable network pundits, particularly those on MSNBC, CNN & The Fox News Channel will gleefully report every bit of news, gossip and most often irrelevant Trump tweets.
Everything else is up for grabs. Now, it’s up to you do decide what action to take.
Talk, complain and then vote for your candidate of choice in November. That’s O.K., it’s your right – yes, we still are a Democracy, not an Oligarchy. Let me give a shout out to Donald’s buddy Vlad just to be even handed.
Or, if you believe that America is in peril from within — that the very root of our democracy is under attack, our allies are becoming alienated and irrevocable harm is inevitable without a change of direction then the choice is clear.
Get up off your arse and do all in your power to ensure that a Democratically controlled Congress is elected in November!
What kind of country do you want to leave for your kids and grandkids?
