The section on “sleep debt” is particularly important.
I have previously discussed how to get up earlier, as well as how to be more productive in the mornings. The big problem though is if you attempt to wake up earlier without going to bed earlier too. You will end up with chronic sleep debt. And this can be really detrimental to your health.
Sleep is serious business.
Treat it as such.
A couple of quick wins for a better night’s rest:
- Avoid coffee post 3pm. Especially if you are sensitive to stimulants.
- Get your room as dark as possible. Black out curtains for the win.
- Switch off from screens an hour before bed.
- Meditation is great to relax your mind.
