Have you ever had a massive symptom flare-up right at the moment you were about to share your passion project with the world? Or just as you were about to start creating something that you felt really excited about?
If you have experienced this, then you and I have something in common. 😉
In fact, I’ve experienced this over and over and over again, pretty much every time that I’ve stepped into some bigger version of my purpose, of what I love to do, what I care deeply about, or who I feel called to show up as in life.
And I’ve seen this pattern in my clients too. Over and over and over again, in so many different forms: A burst of migraines just as a client is about to publish a book. A flare of vertigo right as someone is getting ready to start calling themselves a business owner. A surge of back pain in the immediate aftermath of deciding to give their desire and curiosity enough importance to actually sign up for that dance class.
I’m so fascinated by this pattern that it ignited my own passion! So I created an entire program all about how understanding this pattern can expand our healing and growth in ways that transform our lives beyond our wildest dreams.
Because this is what I’ve learned through experiencing and observing this pattern over and over and over again:
When passion emerges, fear often follows close on its heels. And that’s because we’ve been conditioned and trained by the hierarchical culture we were brought up in to keep ourselves small.
While passion expands our energy, fear constricts around our energy, tightening like a vice and causing symptoms.
And the logical conclusion we usually draw is: “Oh no! I better stop doing that thing that I’m so passionate about, because it’s causing me pain.”
However, this isn’t actually true. And it doesn’t serve our healing and growth.
What our healing and growth need from us is this: To tend to and work with our fear so that it gradually softens and sets our passion free! So that we can expand into the next version of ourselves that our soul is pulling us toward. 🔮
