Once you’ve taken your last drink for the night, you’re at your drunkest, right? WRONG.
At this point in my career at The Good Men Project, watching online videos, I can not only name all four of the “Try Guys” from BuzzFeed, but I can probably name at least four other BuzzFeed video stars, too.
But this is the first video where I thought, “Whoa, there’s actually a kind of important message happening here!”
Here’s what they did: All four guys, who drink with different frequency, from daily to pretty rarely, and of varying body sizes and types, all drank the same amount and then took various sobriety tests including breath-a-lyzers.
The interesting thing that happened was that other than the total lightweight (love you, Zach), everyone got wasted at about the same level – but not everyone felt wasted.
In fact, Eugene (who seemed to have the highest tolerance) was above the legal blood alcohol content for driving, but felt pretty okay.
So what’s the takeaway, other than the fact that you actually DO become a better dancer when you’re drinking?
That you need to watch how many drinks you have, and play it safe when deciding to drive or not.
ALSO, and this was the most important thing for me: You can get more and more drunk as you sit there not even drinking anymore.
