RuPaul, drag queen extraordinaire and hostess of RuPaul’s Drag Race, said, “If you don’t love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?”
It’s an important question. At some point, you have to at least become friends with yourself. Otherwise, you’re likely to go through life looking for love and acceptance in all the wrong places and accepting far less than you deserve. (I’m still working on this; I would know.)
It can be hard to love yourself, though. After all, you know all your secrets and you’ve seen yourself at your worst.
If anyone has this self-love thing down, it’s RuPaul. Broadcasting yourself into millions of homes—and in drag no less—might be the definition of scary. But, the whole concept of loving yourself is kinda—well—arrogant, no?
Oh, heck, no! Now, go on with your bad self and tell me what you LOVE about YOU!
