It is not uncommon for a man to enter his midlife and ask himself what is my purpose? What am I doing with my life now? There becomes a need to reevaluate your current situation and where you want to go from here.
How you want to spend your next chapter? Do you want things to continue the way have been, or do you want to shift your experiences and begin having a different kind of value system?
Perhaps investing your time in activities and relationships that bring your joy and peacefulness. Experiences that enrich you from the inside out. A life is best lived when you can still chase your goals, and work toward that next milestone while stopping to smell the roses, and expand your experience in the present moment.
When you are in this challenging time, the experience can be described as defeating and often dampens your mood and level of excitement for what you are doing throughout the day and life in general. This questioning period of your life can often create that feeling of going through the motions and living a robotic life that feels zapped of those early childlike experiences that create excitement, curiosity, and joy. The first step to shifting this questioning and challenging time that is often marked by low mood is to get clear about how you would rather be experiencing life.
Is it from a space of freedom, novelty, fulfillment from the immediate and present moment, or is it from a space of peacefulness and calm?
These are all spaces that you absolutely can experience life from, experience your relationships from, and completely shift your perception of everything around you. Once you establish the state you would rather be in and you have accurately described it. Then you will want to go back to a time when you experienced one of these states, such as novelty for example. Once you have accessed this memory you will want to really make this memory real by bringing in the senses and expanding the sensation of novelty in a powerful and strong way.
And remember it is all about frequency, the more you do this, the more automatic the experience will become.
