The Good Men Project

Why I Write – We Want to Publish Your Story

handwritingDo you write for yourself, or for an audience? Do you write to tell a story, or to change the hearts and minds of men? This is a call for submissions — your chance to tell the world why you write.

It’s a writer’s dream, and nightmare. To talk about their own writing.

But we’re asking you to share your writing experience with us.

How you do it, why you do it, what you want to see changed in the world because you have done it.

Tell us how you make people laugh, and cry. Tell us how you make people think, or help them relax and go with the flow.

We’re a group of writers, all here to have a conversation. And we’re hoping you’ll join in and share your story.

Two brave souls (well, I was pushed so I don’t know how brave that makes me) have already taken the plunge and put their truth out there as an example.

We’re a group of writers, all here to have a conversation. And we’re hoping you’ll join in and share your story.

Story Takes Courage – Especially When the Story is Your Life” – by Luke Davis got us started on this quest for story, and I added my reasons and rules (including tips from Randy Gage, Richard Bach, and Ray Bradbury) in “Soul Stuff and Substance – 3 Rules for Writing Your Truth this morning.

Luke and I are HOPING you won’t leave us floundering out here all on our lonesome!

If you’re brave enough to let us share YOUR story of why you write you can email me directly at DixieGillaspie@gmail.com.
