Democrats need to start bringing more than “listening tour” defenses to brass-knuckle fights, says Bill Maher and Dan Savage.
And they’re right.
Democrats shouldn’t be in the “this is how you should act” high-ground business anymore because it’s not working.
The GOP is now completely faithful to the “winning” brand of President Trump rather than in the venture of being an actual party with principles and policy.
Because—you know—it works.
While the Dems wring their hands hoping that the “they’re evil and we’re better” modeling catches hold in D.C. and in the media, or that Trump and the ACHA’s abysmal opinion polls and popularity ratings actually mean anything, it’s time we realize that Trump could literally shoot someone on 5th avenue and no one would blink an eye.
He could tweet anything—or say anything—or commit treasonous acts—and none of it matters.
Even if he tweets it during his early morning toilet time.
There is no better “harsh AF” critique of the Democratic Party than a Bill Maher/Dan Savage interview.
