When the 2015 MLB season started, few predicted a Mets vs. Royals World Series match up. With strong starting pitching, a roster full of talented young stars and a few timely late-season personnel moves, both teams distanced themselves from the competition during baseball’s regular season.
With the Mets marching through each Los Angeles and Chicago on their way to the Fall Classic, they encountered a Royals team who handled each Houston and Toronto in dramatic fashion.
