People on Medium and all over the internet make writing look like an extreme sport when it really isn’t.
Most people can make a good article with little to no practice yet choose to believe others talking about how they suffer from writer’s block and how hard it is to create an article every day.
Let me tell you something
That’s straight up bullsh*t.
Writing an article does take time and effort, to that I do agree, but I don’t believe that a handful of people in the world can make it good.
We humans like to wear our accomplishments and work like a badge of honor and sometimes end up being a bit of a douche to other people just to justify what you have done.
What all of us should be doing is helping those that want to start writing and giving them tips so that they don’t have to go through all of that trial and error that we passed!
Writing is a great way to share your ideas and plans with others (video is cool too) so if you are not writing then don’t let people stop you from doing so.
“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”
― Sylvia Plath
There will be mean people along the way as with anything you post and share on social media but you will make some great friendships with writers and readers alike!
All in all, I feel like anybody who wants to write can easily do it here on medium or anywhere that they want; nobody can tell them otherwise.
It may take a while for you to understand how everything works (heck, I still don’t) but you will get the hang of it sooner or later.
And for those writers that think that nobody else can write something good in their life, would you kindly fuck off and let others do their own thing?
Much love to every single one of you!
