A few weeks ago, Roger Federer beat Scotsman Andy Murray in the Wimbledon tennis finals.
Today, Andy Murray got revenge, winning a gold medal on the courts of Wimbledon for the GB Olympic team.
CNN explains:
The Scot brushed aside the 16-time Grand Slam winner from Switzerland in straight sets, winning 6-2 6-1 6-4, in front of a rapturous crowd on Centre Court.
It was the first time ever the 25-year-old had beaten Federer in a best of five set match and marked his first major tennis title, albeit outside the four major championships.
Did you watch the match? How did each player perform?

That was such an intense match. I loved that come back from Andy Murray after losing at Wimbledon. I agree with Jamesq, he’s a snowball who’s just beginning to form.
im loving the women’s boxing, they love a proper ‘tear-up’ (close quarters fighting)

It was glorious. Andy was so in the zone, and Roger just couldnt handle him. Murray in the semifinal demolished Djokovic in a similar manner. That Murray beat those two greats in such a manner on the way to winning the Olympic Gold, will mentally open that door to allow him to win the other majors (i count the Olympics as a major)
Until the 100m final, the radio was going crazy over Murray, talking about his win and the boost it will give him.
. Andy was so in the zone
There was a majesty to his play in those two games, he was seeing and striking the ball like it was a football. an inner composure shone though, like murray no longer wore the crown of a prince but of a king, like the kings federer and djokovic
