This is an amazing story…
So this guy, Woody Roseland, walks out of his last Chemo treatment after having cancer FIVE TIMES and having his leg amputated—the story could stop there and still be amazing—but a few hours later, Rockies pitcher Jeremy Guthrie tweets this:
So our cancer survivor Roseland tweets back that he is downtown, and Jeremy Guthrie tells him to head over to Coors Field.
These two spend the afternoon practicing catching, throwing and batting.
What’s so interesting is that Guthrie had no idea that the guy he was inviting down was actually a cancer survivor who was also an amputee. He had Tweeted randomly, and Roseland had responded randomly…
How incredible is that?
