Super hero fun for the whole family!
GeekDad, over at Wired.com, announced the launch of DC Entertainment’s newest blog DC Comics Fan Family earlier this week. The new site, which is kid and parent friendly, brings together DC’s top super heroes “to provide family-oriented projects, activities, crafts and more fun.” The site also features news and contests for kids to be involved in. The current contest, called Be a Super Hero. Read! is for kids in grades 3-6, and encourages them to write about the real heroes in their own lives.
The president of DC Entertainment, Diane Nelson said,
Our fans are parents too and we want to give families the opportunity to create new memories by sharing the DC Comics experience in a fun and family-friendly environment.
DC’s new family-friendly blog is a great way for parents who grew up reading comics to pass on that enjoyment to the next generation.
