Several Colorado sheriffs are challenging the new gun control law in federal court.
Federal Judge Marcia Krieger has refused to block a new law in Colorado that limits the size of gun magazines. The new gun control law is being challenged by a group of sheriffs who argue it violates the Second Amendment and have refused to enforce it.
The law bans magazines that hold more than 15 rounds, but Weld County Sheriff John Cooke said in March that the new laws were, “feel-good, knee-jerk reactions that are unenforceable.”
Judge Krieger said that it is not possible for her to issue an injunction due to the fact that the law is already in effect.
