Yes, you read that right. An award for celebrities doing good stuff, saying good things, and being generally helpful. And you can vote on it!
–
If you follow celebrity tabloids or the TMZ Twitter feed with any regularity, you might start to believe that part of being famous is being a complete spoiled jerk.
The folks over at Acculturated, however, disagree. They’ve collected a few recent celebrity stories that made us all feel happy and hopeful, and they’re asking readers to vote for their favorites.
A small sampling of the contestants:
Ashton Kutcher:
—Ashton Kutcher, for saying “The sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart, and being thoughtful, and being generous” at the Teen Choice Awards. (Covered by Melanie Wilcox in “Ashton Kutcher’s Smart, Sexy Message”)
Mark Wahlberg:
—Mark Wahlberg, who earned his high-school diploma in 2013. (Covered by Mark Tapson in “Wahlberg & Sheen Finally Get HS Diplomas – But Which One Earned It?”)
Fun. I’m voting for Marky Mark. How about you?
