Most of us have been there. Looking through last night’s list of drunk dials, texts, or emails in horror and shame—but not many of these transgressions have international implications. Luke Angel, a 17-year old from Bedfordshire, England, however, was banned from the U.S. forever after he shot off a drunken, expletive-laden message to the White House directed at President Obama.
Evidently, the teen had been watching a TV show on the 9/11 attacks when he spontaneously decided to write the highly offensive email. “I don’t remember exactly what I wrote, as I was drunk,” he told The Sun. “But I think I called Barack Obama a prick. It was silly—the sort of thing you do when you’re a teenager and have had a few.” The FBI subsequently intercepted the message and authorities (amazingly) arrived on Angel’s doorstep.
“The police who came ‘round took my picture and told me I was banned from America forever,” the 17-year-old said. “I don’t really care,” he added, but “my parents aren’t very happy about it.”
