Score one for the good guys. It appears even in tough economic times, generosity is not dead. This guy left his small hometown of Elkhart, Indiana a cool $125 million dollars. (Thx for killing my donation high after giving a measly $50 to my friend’s Team in Training effort, bud.) For a town of only 50,000, that money should go a long way towards improving civic life. Apparently David Gundlach made his fortune with an insurance company he based in England, but after he sold his company, he went into the movie business in Hollywood. Though he lived in Malibu at the time of his death, clearly his heart never left Elkhart. Thanks for setting an example for 1-perceters everywhere, David.
