If you’ve been following the sometimes wonky, sometimes weird, sometimes witchy repartee of political ads this season, you’ve likely come across this ad from Citizens Against Government Waste, depicting China’s ascendancy and the demise of the U.S. as a superpower. It’s garnered quite a bit of press; The Atlantic dubbed it the only ad from this year that people will actually remember a decade from now.
While I’m not sure I agree, I do appreciate that it’s given us the animated parody (below) by Taiwanese Next Media Animation—the same guys who brought us Al Gore as a sex-crazed poodle and Steve Jobs as Darth Vader.
No pandas were harmed in the making of the following clip, as far as we know.
