I recently had a Personal Power of Intention Workshop and wanted to share the experience with you. This is an exercise we do 2-3 times per year while you maintain your daily spiritual fitness exercises. We all wrote out our intentions on the same piece of paper. Some of the intentions were short-term vs. long-term and some were lifetime intentions.
By having all the intentions on the same pieces of paper we each helped one another by putting positive energy in motion as a collective group. Yes, we each have our own individual work but at the same time we are coming from a place of serving others. The process of writing down the intentions took about thirty minutes and throughout the five -hour workshop you could write more intentions as they came up.
This is how the Power of Intention was structured:
12:15-1pm Meditation
1:15-2pm Walking in silence
2:15-3pm Meditation
3:15-4pm Walking in silence
4:15-5pm Meditation
Before we started all of us put our hands on the paper and each said aloud our intentions what we each wanted to get out of the day, it seemed more like a prayer.
When we meditated people could sit or lay down whatever made them feel comfortable. The intention of the first two meditations was just to be. When thoughts would arise we had a couple of affirmations we could use to bring one back to the purpose of the Power of Intention. First one was I Can, It’s Working, I’m OK. Second one was Power of Intention. This was the thread throughout the day.
During the 15 minute breaks we discussed over light snacks what was going on. The takeaway was everyone felt lighter and rejuvenated. The last meditation people were able to speak out periodically and claim what they wanted. Some examples were; All my intentions on that piece of paper are coming my way. I am safe, loved and protected. Trust the process and more than once I Can, It’s Working, I’m OK was mentioned.
After the workshop everyone took their own intentions with them and now have a spiritual fitness exercise they can implement into their daily life.
This is something one could do alone and break it down over an 1 hr. First write out your intentions and before you start hold that piece of paper and bless it. Yes we all have the power to bless.
Then break this up over 3 sessions
- 15 minute meditation, 5 min break
- 15 minute walk, 5 min break
- 20 minute meditation.
There you have it, your own Personal Power of Intention Workshop.
