In today’s world, it’s become human nature to always be worried about the next best thing, what’s happening in someone else’s life, or what the future holds.
Where it’s not necessarily bad to think about the future, it hinders your ability to enjoy the present.
In a world of so much uncertainty, you have no way of knowing what the future holds.
The only thing you can know for sure is the moment you have right now.
No one can take this minute away from you, so be completely in it. This minute belongs to you and only you, so embrace it, it’s the only thing that matters.
If you’re worried about what’s going on in someone else’s life, you miss what’s going on in yours.
Everywhere we look, the worlds of others are closing in on us. There’s TV shows for us to keep up with the lives of the latest spotlight celebrities, and instant streaming of the day-to-day happenings of young celebrities.
These things make us think that if we aren’t doing what they are in this minute, we’re wasting it. The reality is that by spending your time being a third-party participant in someone else’s life, you’re throwing it away and missing out on a moment of your own.
Forget about what other people are doing and focus on what you’re doing. Find out what you want to be doing in this minute, and do it. Take advantage of the time you have to be in your own life, don’t be a fly on the wall in someone else’s.
Constantly waiting for the next best thing to come out makes you forget about the things you already have.
Don’t worry about the things you don’t have, because you don’t need them in this moment.
Whatever you have right now is all you need, so be grateful for everything and everyone.
You have no way of knowing if you’ll have these things or these people in the next moment, so enjoy them right now while you still can.
Life is too short to waste a moment you could be living in.
If you spend your life trying to keep pace with those around you, you’ll miss out on the beat of your own drum.
You’ll get past the trials and tribulations you face or will face.
You’ll eventually get to where you’re going.
But you will not get back the minutes you lost, so take your time, be patient, and live in the moment.
