We cannot possibly imagine how many of us in this world think life is messed up. I sometimes wish my life would be as nice and happy as I show it on social media. I think having has been more of a mess than not having in our lives. Having a job we don’t like, having a relationship we don’t feel comfortable in, having friends we don’t feel motivated or supported by, etc. At some point, many of us might have thought “I wish I was never born, or why do things just hurt me?” There are always those days where we think we can succeed on anything and we do, too; but there also come times where we feel devastated with the same work which made us feel successful before.
I feel things around me are so messed up that I can’t even figure out what’s going on. When I take a deep breath of relief, the very next moment a problem may happen to attract me again quickly. I hassle to find my purpose of life, to do something meaningful but it seems like I will be running here and there for a very long time. Education, job, and relationships have been the biggest mess in my life and may be yours, too. After finishing my high school, I enrolled in medical degree because my parents wanted to see me as a doctor. After preparing for university for a year I found out that it’s not suited for me and then I applied for a degree in Engineering. It has been around 3 years now that I am studying Engineering and I feel like I am not made for it. Not having an education that gives me a purpose for life is making it hard to find a right job to make a living.
Let’s talk about relationships. I suppose most of us are looking for an unbreakable relation with a person we can be together for 100’s of years. That is what most of us want but in my life, I have never been able to receive the love, care, encouragement from the same person even for a complete year. What I want and we all want is to show up and inspire each other every day. Not being able to do that and receive it, is emotionally messing up my life.
Life is not only memories of happiness, we should also recall things that we have screwed up.

I have started to realize that the things that happen to us, the complications we go through, are all just the way we are and our mindset. I remind myself every day that we should be in love with the things that we have done because they made us “Who we are”. Life is not only memories of happiness, we should also recall things that we have screwed up. For me, I found out that most of the problems that have hurt us are the ones that we have created. Many of the decisions we made without proper knowledge broke us down, many of the situations where we cried like hell are the ones we are responsible for.
Its pretty amazing to know the fact that our life is going to be messed up in upcoming days as well. To become better myself I keep reading about mindfulness/inspiring books/learn meditation, write articles and try things I have never done before.
Good karma can help our messed up life into a meaningful journey. We can give 100% in our effort and let’s take control of that. If you are in the same phase then take action.
- Volunteer for a cause you are passionate about.
- Trust yourself and show your care for family, relationship and friends.
- Travel to different parts of world and get new perspectives of life.
- If you were not happy yesterday, try something different today. Never stop chasing till you find what makes you happy.
- Start over, learn, level up yourself and take risk for your passionate work because everybody gets hurt sometimes.
We should know the fact that “Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it”. Let’s react in the best possible way we can. As the best view comes after the hardest climb, we all should enjoy our messed up life and go through it. Sooner or later the best view will come and we all will f*cking love our life.
Beautiful article. We can all relate to this & I can honestly say I’ve Been there…. I still am there and I see you. I spent a very inspiring week with sujan & family on the inxchan project & I’ve made a soul family. I may not be able to see my brothers & sisters very often but they are forever a part of my daily life now in Mind & soul. Thank you Sujan you are changing lives and you should be proud of that.
