As a man who values growth, (I don’t think you’d be here otherwise!) I imagine you have come across many frameworks on your journey.
Some focus on developing confidence and power.
Some focus on developing leadership.
Some focus on learning to be more present, aware and attuned to others.
Frameworks for growth can help you develop useful capacities and skills.
But I’ve also seen men feel pressured to live up to masculine models that don’t fit every man :(.
I recorded a special jointly hosted Man Alive episode with my friend and colleague Neil Sattin, host of the Relationship Alive Podcast. We discuss how men can grow without a load of stereotypes or expectations of what is “manly.”
In this episode we cover:
- Whether masculine/feminine distinctions are helpful or harmful
- How to move beyond stereotypical masculine norms and find your unique power
- The foundations of creating real intimacy and connection with your partner
- Neil and Shana’s experience supporting men with their truth and desires
- Experiments to create more spark and connection in your romantic relationship
I hope you feel supported to grow in ways that are unique to you, rather than some mold of what a man is supposed to be.
Even men at the top of their game find themselves wanting more from life. Man Alive is the resource for men who want more meaning, a bigger impact, unshakable confidence, a hotter sex life, more money, deeper love, solid friendships or a powerful legacy.
