No one likes that feeling of being snubbed or even simply ignored. And we’ve all had it happen, that time when someone you think is your friend, or at least an acquaintance, clearly sees you but don’t acknowledge you at all.
When that happens we immediately start to worry about others seeing us and what they think. Then we start to feel embarrassed. After feeling embarrassed we begin to ask things like, “Do they like me, do they even remember me, is it even about me?”
What do we do when this happens? There are logical things you can do to make this situation better. First off, walk up to them and say hello. This will do several things, you can see how they respond and you find out how they feel about you and if they truly saw you. Having a conversation with the person is powerful, you will understand where you stand with them. Sometimes people aren’t paying attention and may not see you. However maybe they did, and you owe it yourself to learn where you stand with them.
Later in this video, I explain why this simple action of someone not saying hello affects us so much. Find out what you can do to offset this and not let it get to you. Because when we understand ourselves better other people’s actions affect us less and less.
