Zack Snyder's Kryptonian reboot has gotten a little bit more ethnic. Former Dollhouse actor Harry Lennix has already joined the cast as "a high-ranking military officer named General Swanwick." Now, another veteran Black actor has joined the cast … in a very pivotal role.
Laurence Fishburne has a new job … and it's at the Daily Planet. Move over Morpheus, see you later CSI, this Oscar nominated actor has bigger fish to fry in Metropolis!
Fishburne has officially joined the cast of Zack Snyder's Superman reboot Man of Steel as the hard-hitting, no nonsense Perry White. He's the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet and the workhorse boss of Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen.
In the past, White has been played by a plethora of talented actors including Jackie Cooper, Frank Langella and Michael McKean, so Fishburne's in good company. This news comes shortly after he left his role on CSI, which left us wondering what was next.
This color-blind casting move follows Michael Clarke Duncan as Wilson Fisk in Daredevil and adds an interesting new dimension to the film.
