Director George Lucas has spent years crafting the Star Wars universe, creating an intricate world of high flying heroes. However, he's had a secret passion, a story he's long wanted to tell, and finally he's found the right director in Treme helmer Anthony Hemingway and an all-star cast including singer Ne-Yo, Oscar nominee Terrence Howard, Emmy Award winner Bryan Cranston, rapper Method Man and Oscar winner Cuba Gooding, Jr. Here's the trailer …
The poster dives deep into Black thought as well, created by Art Sims, CEO of LA-based firm 11:24 Design. You might recognize Sims' work from posters he created for Malcolm X, Do The Right Thing, When The Levees Broke, Lottery Ticket, Passing Strange and God Willing And The Creek Don't Rise.
"It was a honor to design the Red Tails campaign for Lucasfilm," said Sims. "My goal was to make the best poster campaign ever designed for Lucasfilm. Since Red Tails is the epic story about the Tuskegee Airmen, I decided to created an action packed image that depicted the dangerous aerial dogfights missions the Tuskegee Airmen successfully won everytime during World War 2." That's right, they never lost a battle.
Red Tails debuts in theaters January 20, 2012.
