Willy Moon, "I Wanna Be Your Man"
Willy Moon is a blast from the past in the future at present. Absolutely everything is right about this song. Do yourself a favor and watch the video on YouTube. You won't get the whole picture without it. Willy is in a class by himself. The UK has been on fire with their support of unique crossover artists. Something that is taken for granted here in the US. They really get music over there. Give your playlist and injection of amazing with "I Wanna Be Your Man."
Cocoa Sarai, "Raining in My Room"
There aren't enough words to express how much we love this song! The production, the performance, the melody and lyrics are all top notch. Cocoa Sarai is an incredibly talented musician and this release is the perfect blend of soul and pop. This is the song that artists all over the country, signed or unsigned, are trying to make. A radio ready hit. Cocoa makes it seem easy with her bluesy and powerful voice.
Slim Thug, "Houston" feat. Paul Wall & Chamillionaire
Wow. This track k-n-o-c-k-s. The bass … it just rattles your bones. For that reason, we are all over this song. Call it a guilty pleasure if you will. We're sure that sampling the NFL on Fox theme song will be hit or miss for many of you. Whatever side of the fence you're on, you just can't deny that beat! This is one of the best "rep my city" songs we've heard.
Ghostwridah, "Mrs. Wridah"
There is no subject that Miami based Ghostwridah can't tackle with style and substance. This latest leak is his retelling of meeting "Mrs. Wridah." The girl that has it all … brains, beauty and ambition. Backpackers will absolutely love this one as it's produced by Jamla Records founder and Hip-Hop legend 9th Wonder. Ghostwridah is one of the best lyricists on the independent scene right now and if you don't have any of his mixtapes yet, rectify that problem right away.
