A few months ago, we discussed Turntable.fm, looking at the popular site's ability to mix music and social aspects. Since then, we've launched a Komplicated room where fans can hang out after our Sunday night webcasts (often helmed by senior credibility correspondent Jabir Faqir) and enjoyed the functionality, despite being hampered by some weird glitches which kick people off of the DJ dais for no apparent reason.
Now the service has opened itself to the iOS community with a new iPhone app …
News about the impending app hit last week, and now it's available for free on iTunes. The service will obviously get a participation boost from people walking around listening to music on their iPhones.
Uh … where's the iPad app? Android? Mango? COME ON, PEOPLE! Still, it's now even easier to get your groove back.
