Why Is Ashton Kutcher Hawking Tiny, Blinged-Out Handcuff Necklaces?

Oh, you know, to raise awareness for child sex slavery.

From Luxpresso.com:

Moore and Kutcher have teamed up with jeweler Jack Vartanian to create a line of handcuff necklaces for Valentine’s Day. The necklaces, featuring interlocking handcuffs, are made of 18-carat white gold and tiny, shiny diamonds.

The celebrity couple decided to design the collection to help raise awareness of child sex slavery, a cause supported by their Demi and Ashton (DNA) Foundation. Half the proceeds from the sales of the necklaces will go to the foundation.

The necklaces are priced between $710 and $2,140.

Ashton is a sensitive guy. He knows that the most tasteful way to commemorate the victims of grievous human-rights violations is to sell garish symbols of their entrapment.

Sources tell us that next up in the clueless couple’s line of ostentatious baubles are diamond-bedecked tiaras featuring glittery, yellow “Juden” stars, to combat anti-Semitism; DNA Foundation–branded white pointed hoodies to raise awareness of racism; and, to benefit GLAAD, a special-edition DVD of Valentine’s Day.
