Good Morning Links

In response to the government’s handling of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, actor Peter Fonda says he sent an email to President Obama calling him a “fucking traitor.”

Pete Townshend of the Who has been working on his autobiography for 15 years and it will finally be released next year. Will it be as entertaining as Keith Richard’s Life? An inevitable question that Townshend could have avoided if he hadn’t been dawdling for a decade and a half.

Australian actor Joel Edgerton has been tabbed to replace Ben Affleck in the role of Tom Buchanan in the reprise of The Great Gatsby, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. You may remember Edgerton from such roles as a young Uncle Owen in Star Wars: Episode III—Revenge of the Sith. Or not.

A psychiatrist and Fox News contributor wrote a column saying Maria Shriver should take Arnold Schwarzenegger back, largely because she should have known what he was he was like. “In fact, in the aftermath of an affair, even in the aftermath of keeping a secret about a love child for a decade, spouses can reaffirm their commitments to one another and resolve to know one another at a more intimate level than ever.” Does he cite any instances of a marriage being made stronger following the revelation of a 13-year-old love child? Of course not.
