The Good Men Project

Find This Guy a Date and Win $10,000

Meet Chas.

He’s 40 years old.

He lives in San Francisco.

He likes Shel Silverstein, monkeys, Scrabble, tennis, and skateboarding.

And if you find and introduce him to the woman he marries, he will give you $10,000.

Two weeks ago, Chas [no last name given] launched the site HookChasUp.com. As the site says, “It’s simple. Introduce me to the girl I end up marrying, and I’ll give you 10 grand.” There’s an email address to contact him about prospective dates.

Yes, it sounds sketchy, and Chas even admits that on the “About” page, but the site actually makes him seem like a funny and genuine guy. His reasoning and motives all make sense: “Basically, I work a lot and never had much luck with online dating. I figured, why not create a site where I’m the only guy.”

Sure, there’s the off, off chance that he’s some kind of crazy person, but it really just seems like this guy wants to get married—so much so that he’s willing to dole out 10 grand to whoever helps him meet his wife.

Chas, you’re a brave man, and we wish you the best of luck.
