Racist Anti-Muslim ‘Protesters’ Say the Darndest Things

A Muslim relief organization recently hosted a charity function in Orange County to raise money for women’s homeless shelters around the nation. Which, of course, calls for for a wild, epithet-flinging “protest.”

“We Surround Them OC912” is a right-wing activist group that set up camp outside the event, shouting racist barbs (and in some cases, death threats) at the event-goers, most of whom were Muslim-American families with children. Here were some of the stand-out quotes:

  • Why don’t you go beat up your wife like you do every night? Maybe you ought to go have sex with a 9-year-old, and marry her!
  • We don’t want you here! Go home! Go home! Go home!
  • Muhammad was a child molester! Muhammad was a pervert! Muhammad was a fraud! Muhammad was a false prophet!
  • I know quite a few Marines who would be very happy to help these terrorists to an early meeting in paradise.

And here’s the kicker: the flagrantly racist rally was attended and endorsed by United States Congressman Gary Miller and Congressman Ed Royce. Miller even addressed the anti-Muslim masses, saying, “I am proud of you. I am proud of what you are doing.”

Well, we’re not. We won’t beat a dead horse, but there’s a pretty obvious reason that the OC912 feels the need to defend itself on its Facebook page, declaring right off the bat that “we are not racists.” Because, well, they are.
