The guys over at GOOD magazine put the latest results of an impaired driving survey from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services into beautiful graphic form. The survey found that 13.2 percent of Americans drive drunk at some point this year, while 4.3 percent drove under the influence of drugs—adding up to 14.6 percent of Americans driving impaired this year.
Connecticut, Massachusetts, Montana, Minnesota, and North Dakota had the highest percentage of drunk drivers. The largest portion of drugged drivers were in Arkansas, Colorado, Deleware, Massachusetts, and Montana.
Take this as a not-so-subtle hint to be careful over the next few days, especially if you’re in Massachusetts or Montana.
