But when it comes to a legislative solution for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, Twitter and President Trump can’t come to a consensus on A) if a deal with Democrats is a good idea and B) if that deal was already agreed upon. Last Wednesday night, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced they had struck a tentative agreement with POTUS to protect undocumented immigrants brought to American illegally by their parents in exchange for increased border security. Schumer and Pelosi were quick to add, however, that funding for a border wall was not included in the agreement. By Thursday morning, Trump was tweeting that no such deal had been made, but followed that up by writing: “Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!” Over the last three days, #DACADeal has a 43 percent positive score on Twitter, which includes some negative sentiment from conservatives who aren’t pleased that Trump is playing footsies with the opposition.–Alex Shultz
