Thanks to everyone who indulged me in this project and read my stories. I appreciate you checking back to see which song I picked next and why.
When I originally came up with the idea it was to be fun and to tell you how music influences me–a dude with the musical ability of a doorknob. What it turned into was something entirely different.
I was originally going to do seven songs–one for each day of the week, then I remembered that The Beatles said there are eight days in a week, and who am I to argue with the greatness of The Beatles? I can’t. Thus, eight blog posts based on songs I love.
Beginning with last Monday’s Losing My Religion by R.E.M. and concluding with yesterday’s Sunny Hours by Long Beach Dub All Stars, I shared a lot about myself with you. A few of the revelations are things that only a handful of my closest friends knew about. I showed you a different side of me.
I’ve told you stories from my younger days. I’ve admitted fears and shortcomings. I’ve professed love. I’ve told you where you can find me when I’m in So. Cal. I’ve shared the songs that I love.
Whether that side impressed you or disgusted you I can’t be sure. All I know is, this is me. It’s who I am. It’s how I roll. And shit.
In case you missed any of it–or all of it for that matter. Here is a list of all eight Music Week posts, complete with links. Enjoy.
Losing My Religion–R.E.M.
Breaking The Habit–Linkin Park
I Gotta Feeling–Black Eyed Peas

P.S.
As I was putting together this blog post I received an e-mail from one of my Hoffman classmates. I e-mailed them about “their” post and of the 31 classmates, 11 had e-mail addresses no longer valid. So far she is the only one to respond (via comment) and I cannot tell you how happy I was to receive that! Thanks Marie. You were one of the cool ones then and you obviously still are!
