The President Of The United States has done it. He gave the order to rain cruise missiles down on a Syrian airbase. As a man, doesn’t that make you worried about the welfare of your loved ones? It should.
Men have been the primary protectors since the beginning of men, particularly when it comes to the threats associated with waging war. The launch of missiles is such a threat. If you are a man, what are you going to do about it?
You could answer, “Nothing. I am not going to do anything about it, just because I am a man doesn’t mean that I need to pay attention to threats of war.” If that is your response I don’t think your loved ones would like that one very much.
A better answer might be, “I believe that in times of worry about war, all loved ones should strive to take care of each other equally regardless of sex or gender, as they are best suited to do so.” I personally like that response better.
However gone are the days when the threat of war, meant that most men at least needed to have a weapon closer in order to best play their part. Most men have more muscle power than do most women and are better at swinging a club. Today we have experts in that. We have people paid to do that. If you are a man and not currently on the weapon using pay roll, your services in that regard are not needed. Just remember that when you see someone in a military uniform to thank them for their service.
Gone are the days when it was a man’s job to read the newspaper and debate with other men, what news of war was bag news and which was really bad news. This was a man’s job because women and children were too easily frightened by hearing of such things. Today we have CNN on twenty four hours a day on television, lap top, smart phone, or other screen of your choice. It is difficult for women and children not to be exposed to war cries. It is easier to protect them from concerns that mass media is mostly propaganda purposively and skillful designed by those who financially benefit from war preparation and war waging of all kinds. Those who design and pay for such propaganda don’t care who got cruise bombed or why. They just care that making cruise missiles, make them lots of money and then when some are used, orders to make more will follow.
Its easier to protect women and children from knowing that mass media is mostly propaganda, because the main stream media isn’t called the mainstream media without reason. The media consumed by most people knows how to keep their wide river of a stream floating by using fear and distraction to separate intelligent human beings from their common sense.
If you are a man, who truly cares about your loved ones, you may need to protect them from things that may be exposed to through media available through the internet. You need to tell them that any discrepancy between the mass media reports on war and other sources is “false news” or “conspiracy theory.” That will usually calm any fear of loved ones knowing something that they are not emotionally prepared to know.
A good tool for loved ones who are resistant to you telling them that what they are concerned about is not real, is to reference a media report that says the thing that has your loved ones worried, is fake. For your own amusement you can research the funding sources of the media outlets that claim to be the fact checkers. For even more hilarity check out some of the funding sources for your favorite alternative news source. Don’t believe that the guy who just wants you to buy his book or his vitamin supplements is wrong and the guy funded in part by hedge fund billionaires or wealthy Family foundations is right.
If you are a man who believes that it is virtually impossible to get any news on war that you can trust, you are correct. I will explain why you are correct in my upcoming book that is still in my head. Let me know if you would like to make a donation towards being able to read it and be informed one day.
So how is a man to reassure his loved ones about warfare. Here are some ideas:
- Play war related video games and invite loved ones to see how paying attention to simulated horror is vastly superior to trying to learn about the real thing
- Encourage loved ones to watch fictional graphic war movies with you and discuss with them how inspirational they can be.
- Interest loved ones in helping you build a bomb shelter. It only has to be big enough for you. Many friends and family may join in the fun of this construction project with the hope that you will spend more time in there away from them, when it is completed.
But seriously men, the best thing you can do to do is cope well with the stress of not knowing what to do about the news of President Donald Trump ordering a cruise missile attack. Ideas to cope better with such stress include:
- Making sure you know the fire exists for the buildings you frequently occupy, such as your home.
- Drive a little bit slower, if you drive. Pay closer attention to your surroundings if you don’t.
- Stop eating so much sugar or drinking so much caffeine.
- Tell your loved ones that you love them more. Be kinder to strangers.
