Defying the odds to succeed in a foreign land is no easy feat, but those who dare to pursue their dreams to the fullest, are the ones who shine brightly for others to see and in turn, become inspired. That’s what Oleg Astakhov, Ukrainian-born Ballroom dancer extraordinaire has been able to accomplish.
Oleg, the dance instructor who broke the internet with his viral YouTube videos has successfully launched his own app, “Dance with Oleg” in a bid to reach as many people as possible sharing his personal dance success secrets which he has learned over the years.
“The secret is just to be spontaneous and to do everything with love. Keep your passion burning inside. I try to do everything with a personal interest. So it has to be entertaining for me and hopefully, fun for the students. So all I do is true from my heart.”
The app operates on a monthly subscription basis offering various Ballroom and Latin American dance moves for anyone willing to learn from the comfort of their home. Launched out of necessity for productivity, healthy living and fun-seeking, it has become an instant hit.
This comes from a passionate Ukrainian-born dancer who started out ballroom dancing as a child competing in several competitions where he won many Ukrainian National titles in the youth division of the Latin American program.
Today, he lives in Los Angeles, California, fueling his social and entrepreneurial vision through the power of dance. He successfully manages four dance studios where he teaches his students.
