To call my friend Lillian inspirational feels trite. Lillian is a mentor, a person who I strive to be like. She radiates wisdom, positivity, humour, and intelligence. She has managed to raise two wonderful, independent daughters, and I am honoured to know her. She is a teacher, a mother, a friend, and somebody who strips my cynicism away everytime we talk or spend time together (and it’s sadly far too infrequently). This is the organization referred to in her post: Tsow-Tun Le Lum Society
- Inner child work is a fascinating ordeal. How many adults on the planet think about healing their inner child and do it? Inner child work is imperative to creating inner peace and peace on our planet. This is the key to self-love, self-worth, self-esteem.
- Never give up on Self and others; no matter what! I heard this as a child; the teaching became real when I began working with people who were told they were nothing from the moment they were born. The light in all humans will surface with perserverance.
- Fun is crucial. All humans need to have fun in order to continue to be of service to others and themselves. The definition of fun is different for all; for example, I have fun when I dance, when I connect with other human beings.
- Every day that I wake up is a gift; the planet can crumble at any given moment. This is why my grandparents taught me to revere the planet and the Creator the way I do.
- Every breath I take must not be taken for granted because my next breath may never come.
- Prayer is imporant to be able to endure the loss and tragedy that we experience on a daily basis. For example, the recent quake/tsunami in Japan.
- On this planet, we are one heart – one mind. That is all there is to it. It’s just that simple. Living and non-living beings are one.
- Daily journals are imperative to self-clarity. Writing has an amazing ability to move individuals forward in life.
- Feasting is a great way to create healthy relationships between people who are interested in reconciliation.
- Last, but not least, all we really need to survive is a commitment to hang in there when the going gets tough. If things get bad, or really bad, or the worst it could possibly get, I want to know that I am going to allow my Self to solve issues one at a time. I give my Self permission to forgive any mistakes along the way.
Fasting is great. Spiritual bathes in the mountain at approx. 5:00 a.m. is good too 🙂 lol
I think every part of this list is great. Also, I read #9 as ‘Fasting’ instead of ‘Feasting’ at first and think they both work 😀
