No matter where you are heading for business – a foreign country or a city just a short drive away – you must carry some essentials with you at all time. An external battery, a travel power adopter, and credit cards are just to name a few things which you would certainly require during your trip. Besides, there are accessories that may be a blessing if you need to escape from a crowded place or avoid dull hours.
Privacy Screen
You may find people trying to peep into your screen at different places such as flights, trains, and cafes. Start using privacy screens to keep yourself from such people around you. the screen will narrow the viewing angle and only you while sitting in front of the screen will be able to see your screen clearly. To everyone else, it will be either blurred or dark screen.
External Power Source
As a business traveler, you may require to constantly use your phone, tablet, and laptop for contacting your clients, to access different work-related documents, and to use maps. You may feel stranded if your gadgets run out of battery. In situations like that, an external power source can save your day. The pocket size power sources are also easy to carry.
Portable Hard Drive
You can’t carry your printer everywhere. Keeping the hard copies of all the necessary papers is also not feasible. However, you can easily carry a tiny flash drive or a hard drive with large space and all your necessary documents (protected them with a strong password if required). Whether you have to copy a large document or have to get a print of something, just plug it and continue working.
Noise-cancelling Headphone
If you are traveling in economy class, carrying a noise-canceling headphone is a must. You might want to detach yourself from a packed flight, restaurant or anywhere else and a good earphone can prove to be your best friend. You can rely on them whether you want to work or wish to catch a quick nap. You can use in-ear headphones of good quality if space is a problem.
Business Cards
Among the most important things to bring with you on a business trip is your business card. You don’t expect all your potential clients in a seminar to remember your name and other details, do you? So until these are replaced by some modern device or app, ensure that you always keep a pack of it with you.
Cash
Your credit and debit cards can be accepted almost everywhere these days. However, it’s advisable to always carry some cash as unlikely situations may arise at any time. What if the small restaurant or café you are visiting is cash-only or you wish to pay your amiable server some tip? Also, cash transactions take lesser time than card transactions.
Swiss Army Knife
I know, you are not allowed to carry them in your pockets while boarding a flight or keep them in your carry bag. You can for sure travel with them in your check-in luggage. From opening a bottle of wine to removing the label from your new shirt, there can be an abundance of use of this pocket size tool.
Moisturizer
Flights at times may be tiring. You may feel dehydrated and your skin may look dry. But that certainly doesn’t allow you to skip or postpone your meeting. A moisturizer along with a few other cosmetics in cases like that save your day. Fly with them in your carry bag and use them to look fresh when you meet your clients.
Mobile Apps
Google Maps, a currency converter, a weather app, a restaurant finder app, and a few other useful apps must be installed in your phone whenever you are traveling for business. They make your stay in the new city or country a lot easier, especially if you are traveling in a country where English isn’t the first language.
Kindle or a Book
A Kindle or a book can be the best company you can carry with you all the time. They keep the dull moments away. Turn or swipe a few pages whenever you need a break from work or need to kill some time.
