If they designed
a reality show
specifically for you,
what would it be?
Everyone has a story. We know this because at this point it seems like everyone’s story has been told in one form or another via the wonders of reality television. Of course, this isn’t actually true. Most stories haven’t been told, but they CAN be.
If a production company told you they wanted to turn your life into a reality show–and they offered you WAY too much money to say no–what kind of show would it be, what would you call it and what would be your catchphrase?
Mine would be called Chic Geek Eats and would be a combo food travel/makeover show in which I would seek out the world’s greatest restaurants and “randomly” pluck out stylish and attractive diners and put them through “geek school”. This would mean putting them through a “week” of extensive geek training in which they will learn how to pair a comic book T-shirt with a suit, be subjected to an encyclopedia’s worth of pop culture trivia and forced to have opinions about the casting choices made for upcoming comic book movies. At the end of the week, they will be tested and if they pass they get a hug from me and if they fail, I’ll subtweet rude things about them on Twitter.
NOW YOU GO!
My show would be about being married to a guy from a dysfunctional family who has gone to therapy to stop abusing me and how our lives continue post abuse. I would want it to be a cautionary tale to young women (and men) about the damage abuse does and what is required to get your self esteem and trust in others back. I’d have the cameras in our home and in our therapy sessions.
