From flower to seed as spring ends and summer begins on the day of the Solstice.
–––
The great wheel has turned once more and the landscape draws in upon itself, preparing for the long heat of summer.
All around me countless numbers of plants are offering their seed to the drying earth.
She will now enfold them within her ancient fecund richness, until the right time for them to once more grace the slopes with their splendour.
This pause lasts for a season or even decades as she waits for that perfect combination of temperature, light, and moisture.
The Great Mother is never hurried.
We need to have a trust in this Gaian rightness which serves to soften all of the edges of our existence.
