CBSNews has a great video that follows Austin Perine around as he passes out sandwiches to the homeless in Alabama. He funds the initiative using money that would have gone to his allowance or toys. He does so with joy and grace, and the sandwiches get served with a side order of hope. It is almost impossible not to watch him and not feel all the goodness of the world rolled into one tiny boy with a cape.
When Austin says, “feeding the homeless is the highlight of my life”—you believe him.
