Billboard Makes Water From Humidity (Video)

University of Engineering and Technology of Peru created a billboard to attract students that also created water from the 85% humidity of Lima, Peru.

With  over 7.5 million people living within the city limits, Lima is one of the largest cities in the Americas but because it is on the brink of a coastal desert and sees only about .5 inch of precipitation a year the city has a shortage of fresh drinking water. Being near the southern part of the Pacific Ocean Lima also has an average humidity of 83% so when the University of Engineering and Technology of Peru needed to market to students for the 2013 enrollment they took advantage of that water in the air and designed a billboard that creates fresh water.
