Did you have to make
some people so much smarter
and more appealing?
I see you didn’t do this
with your four-legged creations.
Sheep seems pretty equal
when it comes to brains and beauty
(though possibly not to each other?)
For us it starts with a jump in the dark,
then a gene race that only few will win.
The rest of us bluff with the hand we’ve got
until we almost believe in it,
always keeping in mind of course,
that it’s the taking apart that counts.
