Get-togethers with friends would often go with drinking and parties. Good thing there is a way to cut taking too much alcohol, which could become bad for your health. That said, you need to find alternatives as healthy variants of wine.
Don’t worry; there are tried-and-true refreshments that will improve your mood and health. They are available anywhere, from any nearby store or non-alcoholic drinks website.
You should go through the following list and know which works best for you and your loved ones! It’s better to invite them in for some drinks when you’re drinking something healthy. When you’re healthy inside, you can help bring about health in other people too!
Tea
Fresh, natural tea has more incredible health benefits than overdosing on alcoholic drinks. Like any other drink on this list, it is nutritious and highly hydrating. Modern research shows that tea has a lot of good stuff, like:
- Antioxidants
- L-theanine
- Essential minerals like potassium.
Do you know about Tea Drunk being a thing? That’s right! If you’re looking for that serotonin boost and tipsy euphoria, tea can offer it healthily. However, you can’t create a tea high yourself. It has nothing to do with what kind of tea or how strong the brew is. It has to do with levels of:
- Caffeine
- Catechins
- Amino acids.
But the secret to that is:
- Theanine + Caffeine.
The Caffeine wakes you up, while the theanine calms and relaxes you. But since you’re aiming to be healthy, maybe take it easy on Caffeine, will ya? Even though it’s suitable for brain stimulation, note that anything too much can be harmful.
Kombucha
Kombucha is a fermented tea drink high in probiotics and is made through the lacto-fermentation process. It is an excellent alternative to alcohol because you get a zingy taste, bubbles, and a boost of good bacteria to help keep your gut healthy.
You might be wondering how zingy tastes; well, Kombucha has a distinct and delicious acidic taste, similar to wine. And, like wine, Kombucha complements certain foods. For added elegance, pair kombucha flavors with your favorite meals and snacks.
Pomegranate or Cranberry Juice
Cranberry or pomegranate juice is an excellent non-alcoholic drink. Not only does this juice have tons of health benefits, but you can also use it to make your own fun mocktails.
Pomegranate juice tastes excellent in a mocktail martini because it is full of antioxidants called polyphenols and doesn’t have any added sugars.
In the most recent scientific study, rats that binge drank had their levels of apoptosis marker proteins, tight junctions, and adherent junctions restored by pomegranate.
Tomatoes and Tabasco (Virgin Mary Mocktail)
The Virgin Mary is like the Bloody Mary cocktail, but it doesn’t have any alcohol in it. So, the name “virgin” is a good fit.
This mocktail is easy enough for anyone to put together at home, and it’s also good, just with tomato juice and ice. But Tabasco gives it a kick of spice that makes it exciting and rebellious for your taste buds.
But you can make it a special treat by putting it in a nice glass and adding salt, pepper, and all the fixings as long as you want to.
Sparkling Water
Adding some exciting ingredients to sparkling water can make it an excellent substitute for your favorite alcoholic drink.
It would be fantastic if you tried to make your own flavored simple syrup; it’s a great way to turn sparkling water into a mocktail by adding flavor. Make it extra special by adding a garnish like a lemon twist or a sprig of fresh thyme or rosemary.
The best way to do this is:
- Simmer a mixture of one part water to one part sugar
- Or make a simple low-sugar syrup by swapping one type of sugar for another cup.
- Add flavorings like lavender, rosemary, or fresh jalapenos for even better results.
Tonic Water
Tonic water is a fantastic option because it has bubbles like sparkling water and a bit more flavor in each sip. There is also tonic water with healthy and delicious ingredients.
You can mix grapefruit juice with tonic water. Grapefruit and tonic changed the game because it’s the perfect substitute for Sunday evening Gin and tonic. To achieve a lovely sour, dry drink:
- Mixing one part grapefruit juice with four parts zero-calorie tonic water.
- Using pink grapefruit juice, lots of ice, and a Spanish “Copa” glass, you can make a big, bubbly “gin and tonic” without alcohol.
- Garnish it with whatever is handy, like mint or rosemary leaves. Even grate some fresh ginger into it.
Non-alcoholic Wine/Spirits
The world has embraced wine without alcohol. In addition, you might want wine that is halal-certified.
Even though fruit-based carbonated drinks are technically “non-alcoholic drinks,” customers should know that these drinks were never alcoholic to begin with. It means that fruit-based carbonated juices haven’t been wined or de-alcoholized, and they’re just fruit juices that haven’t been fermented.
Research shows that wines without alcohol are better for your health. Even though both have antioxidants that are good for the heart, like polyphenols, the alcohol in wine makes them less effective. The risk of heart disease and stroke is lower with non-alcoholic wines than with regular wines.
Coffee
Lastly, you can only cover tasty drinks if you mention coffee. Even regular coffee is fine; you should note that too much Caffeine can make you:
- Crashing
- Anxious
- Give you headaches
- Addicting
With decaf coffee, you still get the coffee taste, but not as much Caffeine as it is terrible for you. If you’re out with friends who aren’t giving up drinking, you can also get decaf coffee at a bar or restaurant.
Have A Healthy Shot!
Does any of the following non-alcoholic drinks appeal to you? Once again, you should not worry since these refreshments are easy to love, which can help you in your transition.
Beverage with no alcohol is trendy all over the world. If you ask for it in a bar, no one will look at you funny or think you’re pregnant. When you choose to be healthy, you take on smoother and more important responsibilities than those that come with your vices.
