Hey kids, it’s Money Monday! I know it can be difficult to save money, especially over the past few years. However, if you’ve been able to put some money aside, I hope you’ve been taking advantage of the interest rate you can get from a high-yield savings account.

We personally use Capital One, and no, I’m not getting compensated for mentioning it, but they currently offer a rate of 4.1%. My local credit union offers 4%, so if I have $2,000 in that account, that’s the difference between making $8 and $80 in a year. If I have $10,000 in that account, it’s the difference between making $40 and $400 in a year.

As you can see, the more money you manage to save, the more free money you’re missing out on if you don’t take advantage of a high-yield savings account. It’s good to work hard, but you also want to work smart. I hope you have a great day, and God bless you!
