Run for your lives. Dubya and Zuck are on their way to becoming fast friends.
Social-networking leviathan Mark Zuckerberg held a streamed interview with the former president last night—via Facebook, duh—in which the two yukked it up for an hour, commiserating over their shared “passion for education,” their shared experiences making “quick and difficult decisions based on common sense,” and their shared weathering of widespread disapproval.
At one point in the evening, Bush looked Zuckerberg straight in the face as he said, “There’s a lot of criticism … You know what I’m talking about?”
For his part, the 26-year-old CEO was liberal with his praise of Bush:
It’s one of the things I’ve always admired about you. … You’ve always stuck by your principles and pushed through.
We question how long the friendship will last, given that our former president still calls Zuckerberg’s site “the Facebook.”
