We don’t get to choose our time — the moments that define us, the situations that shape us, or even the people who walk into and out of our lives. These things happen without asking, without consulting our neatly planned calendars or carefully prepared hearts. Life arrives quietly, like an unexpected guest knocking softly on your door at midnight.
Sometimes, our most meaningful moments are hidden in chaos. They unfold on days we wish we could skip, during conversations we’d rather avoid, and in goodbyes, we never wanted to say. But life doesn’t ask permission. It simply happens, and we must meet it wherever and however it finds us.
We can spend our days waiting for the perfect time, the ideal circumstances, but life will not wait alongside us. It moves swiftly, quietly — sometimes gently, sometimes harshly — always forward. It hands us experiences wrapped in uncertainty and lessons disguised as pain. It asks us not to choose our moments, but to live them fully, no matter how unexpected or inconvenient they might be.
In the end, we realize that our strength comes not from controlling our moments, but from how we respond when life presents us with challenges we never anticipated. It’s in these unchosen times we discover who we truly are, what we value, and just how beautifully resilient we can become.
Because we don’t get to choose our time — but we do get to choose how we live within it.
