The voices on all of the sides of the “conversation” about guns in America couldn’t be clearer or louder—and the President and Vice President did their best to convince the American people that no, the government doesn’t want their guns, and yes, we all want to end violence, address the mental health issue, and end the loopholes that get guns to ill-certified citizens through the “right” venues.
First, how do you convince people—who can’t be convinced otherwise—that the government doesn’t want to take their guns?

Disingenuous smoke and mirrors. Gun control is to the left what abortion is to the right — an issue they use as red meat to rile up parts of their political bases, and approach with little rational thought. When the Brady Bill was passed in 1993, requiring all dealers conduct background checks there where 250,0000 Federal Firearms Licensed dealers.
