The New Jersey duo is on the road with Anthony Green.
Brandon Asraf (guitars/vocals/programming) and John Tacon (drums/programming) make a lot of noise for just two guys, but damn it’s good noise. “Bangs,” the cut included above, is aggressive, moody, and just plain cool. If The Dust Brothers’ Fight Club soundtrack had lyrics it might sound like this.
It turns out that Fight Club is somewhat apt as comparisons go. Regarding the video, Brandon Asraf told Vice magazine: “The story is my chance to be in [my father’s] world and tell a conglomerate of a bunch of stories I’ve heard.” Apparently Asraf’s father has a violent past as an international fugitive. That’s a story I want to hear.
